Made this for a present for Darlink's 1-year old niece :) Hope she'll like it.

A sunny Saturday (although it is not supposed to be)
Took a trip out to the Docklands today to take a look at a boutique craft market that happens there on Saturdays in April. It was a beautiful morning even though the weather forecast was that there was going to be rain. There has been quite a build up of expectation of rain these couple of days but it does not really seem to be happening here in Melbourne anyway. From the pictures below, you would not imagine that the forecast was for showers and possible thunderstorms.
The craft fair was not a big one and we did not get anything but it was nice being out in the nice weather and at a different from usual place that we normally go to. There was also a little animal farm set up there which had a cute bunny in it.

Waiting for the boat (actually I think they are waiting for the people eating fish & chips to leave food behind)
There are lots of jellyfish in the harbour!!! They are flourishing here.

Sunday out
We went to the Magnolia Square fair today. Lots of lovely handmade stuff all around - bags, jewellery, accessories and a large proportion of beautiful and cute stuff for kids. We did come out with a pack of yummy bikkies. Hmm...I wonder if I would be able to sell my bunnies here some day... :D

My first bag!
Completed my first bag today! Started this last weekend, stopped and started a fdew days in between and finally finished it. I used an Amy Butler pattern for this. It was simple enough for me and turned out quite nicely too. It's all the nice fabrics that I've seen around lately that's really inspiring.

Bunny news! Hungarian motorway blocked by escaping rabbits
"BUDAPEST (Reuters) - Hungary's busiest highway, connecting Budapest with the Austrian capital Vienna, was closed early on Monday after a truck carrying rabbits crashed, letting 5,000 of the animals loose on the road, police said.
The M1 motorway was closed around 40 km (25 miles) west of Budapest and could remain closed for hours while police try to capture the escaped animals, highway police spokeswoman Viktoria Galik said.
"There are thousands of them on the road but they're not using their newfound freedom well; they're just sitting around, eating grass and enjoying the sun," Galik told Reuters."
Oh boy! I wish I could have seen that! Pity that there is no photo for the article.

Cupcake recipe
I saw this basic cupcake recipe in one of those cupcake books in the shops that day and decided to test it out.
Ingredients:-
* 115g butter, at room temperature
* 115g caster sugar (I used xylitol)
* 115g self raising flour
* 2 eggs
* 2 tbsp milk
* 1 tsp baking powder
Method (the usual cake method):-
1. Cream butter & sugar.
2. Add eggs and milk.
3. Sift in flour and baking powder.
4. Spoon into cupcake cases.
5. Bake at 180 degrees for about 10 mins.
I added passionfruit pulp instead of the milk this time and in total, the cupcakes turned out beautifully moist. I thought of doing up frosting but then it's probably healthier like this.

A friend for Bobbi
Went out to the shops today intending to buy any good chocolates that might be on sale after Easter Sunday. There was not really much good stuff to choose from - presumably they really all got swept off the shelves before the holidays. But I found Bunnard on sale at 50% off! After quite a bit of pondering, I decided to bring him home because he was too cute! Bobbi could also have a bunny friend.
Bobbi does not like his singing but she doesn't mind sitting around with him when he is quiet. =P

Pet shop bunnies
Market day again!
Went to the St Kilda farmers market again this morning.
No car this time so it took me about half an hour by tram but I like going to markets anyway :D. It was a really beautiful morning and there were lots of people with their dogs at the market.
This one takes the cake with its massive fur! It was just walking around coolly on its own and then decided to just sit in the middle of nowhere. I guess its owner was just somewhere around.
This time I bought beautiful fresh bunches of vegies, garlic, eggs, honey, organic chilli sauce and hot cross buns. Had to head to South Melbourne market next to get the chicken and fish but hey, more markets for me!

Passionfruit Hummingbird Cake
Tried out a new recipe today. This sounded yummy - it turned out not bad as well. I used canned passionfruit pulp instead of the real fruit.
Ingredients: -
* 1 cup plain white flour
* 1/2 cup wholemeal self-raising flour
* 1/2 tsp bi-carb soda
* 1/2 tsp cinnamon
* 3/4 cup brown sugar
* 1/2 cup coconut
* 440g can crushed pineapple in natural juice
* 2 large ripe bananas, mashed
* 2 eggs, lightly beaten
* 3/4 cup canola oil
* pulp of 3 passionfruit
Method:
1. Sift flours, soda, cinnamon and sugar in a large bowl. Stir in coconut.
2. Drain pineapple ensuring all juice is removed. Combine bananas, eggs, oil, crushed pineapple and passionfruit and stir into dry ingredients.
3. Place mixture in a greased and lined 23cm square tin. Bake in a moderate oven, 180C, for 60 mins.
4. Dust with icing sugar. Cut into 20 pieces.

Cute stuffed bunny
We saw this cute bunny in a shop last week. He shakes his head, flaps his ears and sings a funny song. Really cute!
