An indulgence!

Went to the David Jones sale at lunchtime today and spotted a beautiful pair of Camper boots. I was looking for boots anyway which was why I was in the shoe department and the boots were really pretty. They were also really expensive actually. Couldn't stop thinking about getting them so went back again after work and with some encouragement from Darlink, we decided to give me a treat and buy them! :D These are now my most expensive shoes ever!

Thought for the day

Soccer fever on Tag Friends

Football fever Posted by Picasa

With the World Cup just around the corner, the tiny fellas on Tag Friends can also get to play their share of soccer. It is a bit of a challenge trying to get the ball in the goal. Luckily I was the only one on the field :)

Smiley faces in the fridge

Happy eggs Posted by Picasa

Bought eggs recently and thought they made a good picture since they were all smiling :D

Chubby paws

Chubby paws Posted by Picasa

This photo is a little blurry but I wanted to show off Bobbi bunny's cute paws (which are rather clear as opposed to the rest of her). They look so cute and chubby especially when she just sits and waits for us to pass by and pat her head or talk to her :)

Soccer fever

Due to the soccer friendly between Greece and Australia tonight, there seems to be a buzz in the air around my office building since it is right opposite the Greek precinct. There are lots of people walking around with flags and scarves from lunch time...as the day progressed we could hear the fans celebrating in the street downstairs. At around 5pm they all headed down towards the MCG where the match was being held cheering and lighting flares along the way. Quite an atmosphere!

Play time with Bobbi

It's so fun playing with Bobbi when she comes out in the evenings. She always does funny things and shows that she is really glad to be out to play :) I snapped this just before she pretended to charge through the box at me. She stopped just before coming out the end...hehehe!

First work anniversary

It has been one year since I started working after getting here. Many things have changed since the time I used to feel lonely being at work. It did take me a rather long time but now I am somewhat settled in and sometimes I even enjoy being there. The correct mix of people appearing at a correct point in time sometimes does help make your life change for the better. Of course there are problems coming in other forms (who ever said life would run entirely smoothly...) but on the whole, at least I have survived one year! :D

Cherry chocolate

Chocolate - it is good for you Posted by Picasa

Have been eyeing this bar for a long time! Seeing cherries on the label just lures me...couldn't resist and finally got it. This does not really come cheap - it costs $10.95 on its own but we bought a bunch of 3 sizes for $15.95.

Bobbi antics

Bunny at rest Posted by Picasa

Here is Bobbi taking a break from frolicking among the shoes under the chair (at the top of the pic). That is one of her new favourite spots now. She heads straight there once she gets out and seems to like sniffing at the shoes. Just have to make sure she does not try to nibble at them. When she is done terrorizing the shoes, she plops down quite happily nearby. :)

New yellow flowers! Posted by Picasa

Found a seed for new yellow flowers this time :)

Biggest bunny on earth!

A colleague brought in an article today on this bunny that won the Biggest Bunny on Earth title at a pet fair in Germany. The giant bunny is SOOOOO CUTE!! All of us who saw the pic now want to have a bunny like that. He looks so incredibly huggable! I found the article online too.

New cherry trees

New plants! Cherry trees Posted by Picasa

Found a new plant for my Mero Park window. They do look a little unwieldly though.

Brrrr!

We have finally reached a single digit temperature for this year! It is now 8.4 degrees. No wonder then that my fingertips are frozen and my toes would be too if I were not wearing socks.

Vintage paper dolls

Unearthed a book containing these paper dolls drawn by my Mammo ages ago! These are more than 20 years old! Have managed to keep them in good condition this whole time. I don't think I am able to draw like that myself even. They still look really good. Hehehe...imagine we used to play dressing them up :)

One of the cutest bears we have

Baby bear Posted by Picasa

Decided to take a pic of Baby bear since he was sitting on the bed today. He is one of the cutest stuffed bears we have. Darlink bought it from this shop in Suntec something like 6 years back. Even though he is a little old, he still looks really cute with the beady eyes :)

Nice weather for baking

Cupcakes Posted by Picasa

Given the cold rainy weather out there, was rather inspired to fill the house with the nice warm smell of baked something. So I decided to make a little batch of cupcakes :)

Had quite a bit of exercise at the same time chasing Bobbi bunny around as she kept trying to clamber around on the shoes just outside the kitchen. She likes to hang around near the kitchen when I am there. Must be because she realised that that's where the yummy apple pieces come from...heheheh! She didn't get any cupcakes to eat this time though :P

More kites

With Children's Day today in Japan, the Mero Park carp kites have increased in number. The window looks rather pretty :D

Colour of the sky

This is the colour of the sky now - rather scary looking and depressing.
