Bobbi bunny at home

Here's a video of Bobbi playing with fleece in her cage. I think she does this to impress me.

Festivals

So much was happening this weekend in the city. On top of the FINA festival happening at the Birrarung Marr, there was the Wicked Sunday at Federation Square as well today. Part of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, this festival had stalls selling chocolates, wines, gourmet ice-creams, pastries, nougats, rich cheeses and coffee. Naturally it was rather crowded. We had ice-cream and bought chocolate and pastries. :)

Crowds where there is food

It was a lovely day too! After a slighly more rainy than usual Friday and Saturday, the sunny blue sky was nice (not that I am complaining about having rain). Nevertheless, it was quite cold still.

A nice but windy day!

Had intended to try and catch some of the performances around but the rather cold wind made it not too nice sitting around waiting for the events to start. I am not really prepared for winter yet so the jacket was not warm enough. So it turns out that I did not manage to even watch a single performance at the FINA festival :( But then again, knowing how it is here, there will be another excuse for a festival coming up.

On our way back, we passed by Lonsdale Street and there was the Antipodes (Greek) Festival. Couldn't believe how many things can be going on in the city at one time.

New toys

Accomplished quite a bit today...finished up my first needle felting bunny, a stuffed bunny with a stuffed bunny and a new cat stuffie.

Long limbs!

One of these things is not like the others (oh! And spot the tiny bunny!)

Friday night out

Was intending to go check out some of the festival events happening around Fed Square this evening because of the 12th FINA World Championships. There were so many performances and interesting things lined up so I was looking forward to it. Got to the first one which started half an hour late. We decided to go and have dinner at the nearby Chocolate Buddha restaurant first and continue seeing the events later.

That was a really good idea because in a couple of minutes after we went in the restaurant, rain started pouring like mad with strong winds to boot. Luckily we didn't wait to sit outside either - there was a waiting list for seats outside. Most of the festival got cancelled because of the rain that went on and off for quite a while.

Well, looks like I will have to try and catch the events over the weekend instead. But at least we had a nice dinner at one of the places I have wanted to try out. :)

Lemme lick your feet!

Bobbi bunny found new friends recently - my feet! She loves to hang around them, sit on them, chase them around and lick them! We moved the computers out to the living room recently so she gets to hang out under my table while I am busy at the computer. Since I'm her best friend, she doesn't care about the rest of the house anymore.

If I ignore her for too long, she starts licking my legs to get attention. She even nibbled once (ouch!). I imagine my feet will stay nice and warm for winter with a real bunny "rug" around them :)

Let me at them!

Snuggle snuggle!

Work-in-progress

What's coming up soon?

Meeting notes

What I got out of a boring teleconference...

A "road" in the house

I've named a road in our apartment - Bobbery Bunny Lane. It is the space between Bobbi's cage and the wall. Only bunny-sized creatures can go down that road and it is one-way only, i.e.: no U-turns in there, she has to reverse out. It is very funny to see a bunny moving in reverse.

Get your street signs here.

Craft day!

Went to the Stitches and Craft Fair today. Walked around looking at all the lovely fabrics and interesting craft for almost 3 hours! Came out with a bunch of nice fabrics (I want to try making bags next) bag patterns and 2 packets of wool felt. Almost feel inspired to make a quilt even because there were so many nice ones there. Don't think I will have the time for that though.

One of the cutest Bobbi bunny views

This is one of my favourite views of Bobbi bunny!

Operation Bobber Nails

Today since Charli came over, we decided to carry out Operation Bobber Nails which obviously means someone needed some grooming. This is a 3-person operation where 2 of us have to hold her down on the glass table, cooing to her, stroking her head and covering her eyes while the third person cuts her nails. We managed to get it done all quite smoothly though :D Saved a $24 visit to the vet. Bobber was not so happy of course. She went back home immediately and sulked after getting her raisins.

A Saturday out

We rented a car and decided to go out and see some different things from the usual. Made it to the Veg Out St Kilda's Farmers' Market. Good thing it was the right day for the market since it only happens on the first Saturday of each month. This was nice. There were stalls selling vegies and fruits, eggs, olives, bulbs for planting, herbs, sauces & meat. I really like the atmosphere of these markets - people having hot dogs & coffee, walking around with kids and dogs and stuff coming from the source. I bought 2 packets of raisins (to share with Bobbi), eggs, apples and onions.

After that, we made our way through Chapel Street & Bridge Road as well. It is quite fun having a car sometimes - a lot can be covered at one go.

We later went to check out the houses at Caroline Springs. That was fun too. There were display houses which made us oooh and aaah more and more as we went from one house to the next. You would get luxurious living at there for the price of an apartment in the city. The only thing is it takes about 45 mins drive and that is not fun to do on a daily basis I bet.

Look at the amount of space!

I like this!
