Gave her a whole lot of vegies this morning and she was quite happily munching through them :)

Dark chocolate M&M

I spotted these today. They must be quite new or I just haven't been paying attention at the chocolate areas in the supermarket.

Beer education day

Today was a fun day at work. No real work but being educated on the beers in our company. Really drinking on the job. Hehehe! We got to taste 12 beers and I even have a favourite beer now :D Always thought beer was just beer and wine is probably better but there are a couple I would drink again if I have the chance.

The Hoegaarden White that we tried was yum! There are hints of orange and coriander that makes it different to other beers. There is also fruit beer that has morello cherries infused called the Belle-Vue Kriek. Beer does seem less boring now.

Ladybug prototype

Developed a ladybug softie today from the ball pattern. I used plain fabric in case it didn't work out but it actually turned out quite well I thought.

Guess what will come next?

I thought I would try to make a 3D shape this time so I tried sewing a ball. I'm now in the process of a new softie. Guess what it is?

A new chapter

Today is the last day of my long holiday from work! The past months have been great! I've got to hang around and do whatever I want when I want to and watch people go to work and not have to be part of that. Well, it is time to get back to normal life and go out to earn $$ again. It's sort of a bittersweet feeling.

Furniture day

We went to a sale of 1940s & 50s danish furniture today. There were quite a lot of nice stuff (which I know someone would love). We were so tempted to get this table. It's a rosewood coffee table with tiles inlaid on one corner. We spent so long deciding and left in the end with the "if this is meant for us, it will still be there next week" thought. I hope it will still be there...:S

Lovely days

Subsequent to the bleary Sunday we had, the past few days have been quite lovely.

Fluffy clouds and blue skies

Rainbow sunsets

Hello Rosie!

Take three of an attempt to make a stuffed babushka doll. It was good embroidery practice as well.

Woo hoo!

Running home after having fun

A new bunch

3 new bunnies stuffies! Some of them were sold at Mikes! Hooray!

Scary weather

This was the wind blowing over a puddle outside on the balcony. The rain probably accumulated overnight.

There was really scary weather this morning. I thought it was about the worst wind I've seen. Although there wasn't very heavy rain, the wind was SO STRONG. I could feel the building vibrating. We didn't dare go out to church even.

We managed to make it out for church in the evening when the wind eased. Got this giant bag of M&Ms from Big W. :D

High-speed shutter shots

Decided to try out the high-speed shutter function on the camera on Bobbers this morning. Every morning as soon as someone walks near the balcony door, she gets all excited and starts dashing all over the place. The repertoire includes running around in circles, dashing into her cage, playing with the fleece hanging there frantically, dashing out again, running in circles again and flopping upside down. It's a joy to watch but very hard to photograph.

Here are some attempt to catch her "at work".

Leaping out of her cage. This is the best action picture I have. Pity it is not clear at all. I was on the other side of the glass.

Oooh! I need a rest!

Market day

We went to the farmers' market at the Abbotsford Convent today. Did not buy much because we had already gone to the market yesterday and I did not want to carry foodstuff all around for the whole day. We got honey, raisins and almonds though. :D I always enjoy going to these markets not just for the food but also for the nice atmosphere.

There are always dogs of all shapes and sizes at these markets.

Views

We have wonderful views from our balcony.

Whenever the weather is all muddled and it rains and shines (which is not rare here), we get to see big whole rainbows right in front of us. Sometimes even two!

We also get views of fireworks at Federation Square, which is also not rare since there are always celebrations of some sort or other. Today it is Diwali or Deepvali celebrations. The last time it was the Mooncake Festival. It is actually rather multicultural here...

Bunny bean cake

Here's a closeup of the bunny bean cakes I got from Mammo and my sis. They are so cute and also yummy!

Rainbow on the door

We have a nice rainbow on our room door every morning.

Kid art

We went past the underpass leading to the Esplanade on Thursday on the way to tea. One side of the underpass was all decorated with artworks done by kids. It was a really colourful sight! Here are some of my favourites.

A cute bunny drawing

I really liked the string of dolls all decorated by different kids which lined the entire stretch as a border

Mr Moult

Small Bunny is moulting now so he has this cute patch of fur that is shorter than the rest. He is such a dearie...he's got a really sweet temperament. :) I can brush him all I want and he doesn't grunt like Bobbers the boisterous bunny would.

Bunny shoes!

I got these today! Since I couldn't get those with the bunny ears from Nordstrom, these are great too!

The Big Day

My sister's big day came and went so quickly. How time flies! Now she's all grown up already and no longer the little sister that I used to bully when we were young (Hehehe! I used to take the "good" toys and give her the "not-so-good" ones). She's got a great husband now and I am happy for her. :D

Mooncake!

I finally got what I've been waiting a long time for! Every year I try to at least have a couple of these yummy mooncakes from Raffles Hotel. I didn't get to have any last year. This year, I got the usual champagne truffle and a new one - dark chocolate with crunchy pearl.

Back in SG!

I'm back in SG again! Things always seem a little surreal once you haven't seen them for a while. Eg: Lush green foliage around, warm humid weather, clean streets (hehehe!).

Little man aka Small Bunny. He's shy - always hiding under the newspapers. He grunted at first when I patted him because he probably forgot who I am. But after a while I think he liked the attention.

Welcome back pressie from Mammo and Mathilda - box of bunny-shaped japanese mooncakes! I haven't opened them because I need to maximise their life span!

Watched Ratatouille

Went to watch Ratatouille today on free Gold Class tickets. The seats were huge and reclining types but that was about the bulk of the experience for us. We didn't order the fine food & wine that was available. The movie was great though. I really like the animation and the details on the rats (you can even see the different textures of fur on the different rats) and they were so cute and huggable looking! I want a rat like Remy!

Concept art for the movie (some of these are really nice - I saw more at the Pixar exhibition). Really makes me wish I could draw!
