Dahlias

It's that time of the year where I spot dahlias on sale at the market and cannot help myself! They are such beautiful flowers! For some reason, I am so drawn to its fractal nature.

Made soup with the purple carrots I got from the farmers' market on Saturday. The purple is really intense! Just like beetroot but still tastes like carrot :)

Saw this interesting sight when we went to church this morning. There was moss growing in all the cracks on the ground. Must be due to the rainy damp weather recently. It made for an interesting pattern.

Interesting exhibition stand

We went to the PMA Australia 2007 Imaging Technology Expo today. There was a Crumpler booth there. It was the most unique exhibition stand I have ever seen! I couldn't stop admiring it. The whole exhibit was built out of cardboard and there was fake grass underfoot. I wouldn't mind having a house with cardboard rooms (not cardboard exterior walls of course)! In fact, it was my dream to have something like that a long time ago.

Shortest day of the year

A longer day tomorrow 

We have reached the point in the year where the days stop becoming shorter and start increasing again. Nothing really much in effect since tomorrow is just going to be 1 second longer. Just an interesting fact to know :)

Biggest bunny on earth!

A colleague brought in an article today on this bunny that won the Biggest Bunny on Earth title at a pet fair in Germany. The giant bunny is SOOOOO CUTE!! All of us who saw the pic now want to have a bunny like that. He looks so incredibly huggable! I found the article online too.
