Bunny sculptures

We got these steel laser cut bunnies (complete with shadow) from the design market today. :) There were lots of nice things at the market. Very inspirational! Kind of wish that I would be able to do a proper stall with marketing and all but I just don't seem to have enough drive to do it.

We passed by a Car Clubs Showcase Series at Federation Square today. They had Minis on display. Lots of cute little cars of all colours parked together for people to admire.

I finally braced myself enough to cut Bobber's nails today. It was a little hard trying to get hold of her initially because she could sense something was going to happen when we kept trying to tempt her with papaya tablets and raisins and she refused to come out (the clever girl). When she finally got into the carrier because we needed to get her outside onto a glass table, she stamped and stamped her foot. But the nail cutting process was actually very smooth! Bunnypapa held onto her but she didn't struggle at all and I could check every nail carefully. I am so proud! :D

After that, she went to the bathroom and sulked and refused to let me touch her although I gave her 2 raisins and 2 currants. Hehehe! I think she was quite happy actually because she was doing the flop. She just wanted to tell me she was not pleased with me. But after 10 minutes, she was my friend again :D

Tomorrow is Melbourne Cup day so there was a parade in the city today to showcase some racing names. I went just to have a look because I haven't actually been to any of the parades that happen for all the various reasons (e.g. Anzac Day, AFL Grand Final, Moomba, Police Blue Ribbon, Olympians homecoming...there seems to be a lot) . It was also a relatively quiet day at work since half the people weren't there as tomorrow is a holiday.

The parade featured former race winners as well as the trainers and jockeys for tomorrow's races. Got to see some the horses "up close and personal" as they were led close to the crowds to say hello.

Deep sleep

Saw this really cute bunny sleeping in a pet shop yesterday. It was totally in a deep sleep and quite oblivious to people watching. I hardly ever see Bobbers do that. She would wake up as soon as she can sense someone around.

No more online shopping!

Boo hoo! A$ exchange rates have become so dismal that I cannot do anymore online shopping! :( No more browsing for stuff on Ebay & Etsy. Even the S$ is stronger right now.

Sunbather

We had nice sunny weather this weekend. Spotted a sunbather in the balcony.

Cute trams

We've got some trams here that are on loan from France. Because of their colour, they have been nicknamed Bumblebee trams. They've also got cute bumblebees on the livery which kind of brightens up that moment when you spot them. I haven't been on one yet though.

My tough dearie

Bobbers was not feeling too well yesterday. It probably had to do with her tummy again because she didn't want to eat or move around much at all (I even managed to trim some of her nails and she did not budge!). Spent the most of yesterday cajoling her to eat and drink, trying to stuff food in her mouth and rubbing her tummy (and praying too!). I was going to have to bring her to the vet if she wasn't going to eat. Managed to get a few drops of water in her during the day and by night, she finally got tired of my bugging her and gobbled up 2 raisins and 2 currants. She then went to her water bottle for a nice long drink! Hooray! I left her with some vegies for the night and saw her sitting on her toilet before I went to sleep.

This morning, all the vegies were gone and she was back to her usual happy self. :) I found a mass of black poops she managed to get out which probably made her feel better. I gave her 2 rounds of Critical Care mash - She only eats that after she is back to her greedy self again which kind of isn't great since she is supposed to be eating that when she is off food but I couldn't get her to have it yesterday. Her latest poops are nice and healthy (i.e: big & round) already & she is all excited for food & play again! :D

So sad

Today I happened to find out that the cutest cat in the world died recently while looking at some of his owner's photos on Flickr. It made me cry (a bit) even though I was at work because I know how terribly sad it is to have something so dear leave you forever so suddenly. Whenever I see his funny pics I wished I had a cat like that. My heart goes out to his companion Beibei and of course his owners.

I was wandering around looking for cute pictures for my phone and I found this really cute website where you can make your desktop look like a picture with characters for folders! It made me clean up my desktop at the same time so now there cannot be random stuff sitting around! :)
