See you later Bobbi! :(
Bobbi goes to stay with Darlink's colleagues today :(. Oh dear...I think I will miss her. I feel a bit sad having to leave her for a month. Wonder if she will realise that we are not there and she is in a different place. Hopefully she will be a good bunny and not make it tough for the people helping to look after her.

Awww! A disappointment!
Today's Australian Idol eliminations had a terrible result! My favourite, Anne got booted out! BOO!BOO! How could it have been her! She was always fantastic! She went out very gracefully too. No tears and stuff, just genuine gratitude for the whole experience. It was really a pleasure to watch her. Sort of like how James went too. I think these two contestants were really quite nice people to know the way they were portrayed. Well, all the best to them...don't have to win Idol to be famous anyway.

One of my favourite pictures
The Kiss
Darlink bought this for me at the Sunday Arts Market today :) It is a reproduction of the famous painting by Gustav Klimt, The Kiss, on a large ceramic tile. For some reason, I have always liked this picture so now I get to admire it at home :) The picture conveys so much love and romance and I also love all the richness in the gold and colour that is used.

A funny sight
OOhhh a bunny....
We saw this funny scene at the market a couple of weeks back. The guy with Anouk, the beautiful huge Husky passed by the pet shop with a cage of bunnies. Anouk was so fascinated by the bunnies she stood there and stared and even sat down to watch them. The funnier part was that all the bunnies stopped whatever they were doing and some came forward to look at her too :). Of course this is all good with the bunnies being in the cage and out of reach of the giant dog...

A Situation & a Poll
A Situation happened to me recently which really made me wonder...are some people just weird or is it just me? I discovered that I could have a poll to try and find out. So here it is! Take My Poll
Hopefully this might give me some insight into the workings of some human minds, otherwise it is just going to be entertaining for everyone...

Abundant sunshine and a moonlit sky
The weather forecast today looks so nice and pleasant :) Such descriptions make you want to forget about the jackets and all and go out in just normal clothes (which is almost what I am trying to achieve). But the wind is still cold though...in a skirt today my legs feel a bit chilly :P
I wonder if it just this website I am getting my weather forecasts from but they seem so nicely put all the time. It doesn't just say "sunny" or "clear" but gives you these nice images to imagine. Its the kind of feeling Imperial Republic Snow Rose tea gives you...you start imagining how fantastic it could taste...Hehehe!

Tried a new cookie recipe today
Bought a new pack of chocolate chips today and spotted a nice recipe for chocolate chip cookies on the pack.
I tried it out just now and it turned out yummy, suddenly reminding me of Chinese New Year cookies.
Here is the recipe: -
225g butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 190ºC.
2. Beat butter and sugar until creamy, beat in sweetened condensed milk. Sift in flour and baking powder, stir until combined.
3. Add in chocolate chips and mix well.
4. Roll heaped teaspoonfuls of mixture into small balls, place on greased trays, press gently with fork.
5. Bake for 15 minutes until golden.

A Small Bunny pic!
I got a picture of Small Bunny from Mathilda today! Boy does he look big & handsome! Going to be seeing him really soon :)
At the same time, it's tough having to leave Bobbi bunny behind for the time we are going to be away. Want to ensure that she is in the best hands possible...:S But it is not easy because the best hands are going away!!

Dentophobia
Had a traumatic day at the dentist today. First of all, the reason why I had to be going to a dentist so soon was because the filling I had previously (that cost a $485 bomb!) fell out again last night!
In addition to having go through the same procedure again today (although it seemed a lot faster), the dentist dropped some portion of some dental instrument down the back of my throat and I could not cough it up. It is now somewhere in my stomach! :(
Had to endure X-rays to try and find out where the bit went and the trauma of the whole experience :( I don't think she even apologised for all that stress she caused me and she knows how nervous I am at the dentist...I don't think I will be seeing her again.
This whole episode does nothing to help my already existing fear of dentists and my lousy luck with my teeth. So terrible! Now I will have a fear of dental instruments going down my throat as well.

A new companion
Darlink's birthday today!
Today dear Darlink reached the big 30! Oohhh!! But then again, age is just a number ;) How old you are is how old you feel...I think he still feels very young mostly anyway...:D
We had cake in the morning together with Bobbi bunny (but she was more interested in running around on the sofa...hehehe!) - one nice big mud cake for our mud cake/ chocolate fan.
Happy Birthday dear Darlink! From Bobbi bunny & me
After church, we had Yum Cha together with Charli and Johnny at the Red Emperor and then we went to Crown Casino since we were in the area and I knew they were having some flower display there.
A peacock!
Flamingoes
Fantasy landscape
The Floral Fantasy flower exhibition was made up of six specially constructed, large scale installations incorporating over 150,000 individual fresh flowers. Very pretty to look at as you can see!

So who wins?
Look who wins?
Mammo says Small Bunny is about 40cm long stretched out...Oh my...that would mean that Bobbi bunny is really catching up! And she is two years younger! I don't have a recent pic of Small Bunny but if Rabbitto bunny were still here, he would have been the overall winner! :D (check out their ears flapping in all directions!)
More plants for the balcony
Tulips from the Tesselaar Tulip farm
I asked Johnny to get these for me when he went to the tulip farm in Silvan last weekend with some of his friends. I did want to go there too but found that there might not be much to do apart from ooohing and ahhhing at a whole field of tulips. I can do that (albeit on a much smaller scale) right at home with this pretty pot as well :)
How big is Bobbi?
Le-Anne asked me how big Bobbi was that day so I decided to try and measure her :) She didn't really like the ruler around her so I had to do a rough gauge. When she is sitting down with legs tucked under, she is approximately 30cm long and 15cm wide and of course much longer if she has her legs all stretched out. That is quite amazing for a bunny that we have had for 3 months! Hehehhe! What a fast grower!
All stretched out
All stretched out

John Doe & unidentified people
This name somehow popped up a couple of times within a week for me and led me asking the question: Who is John Doe?
This name first popped up when I read in the news about this guy (a John Doe) who had died two years ago but he lay unidentified and unclaimed in the mortuary. They recently discovered who he really was after the newspapers published an earlier article about one month back trying to ask for help in identifying the man who had committed suicide in a vacant house. Funny why I didn't wonder why they were asking who he was if was called John Doe...:P
While watching The Practice yesterday, we saw a story about this guy who committed some embarassing crime and did not want to be identified. He was then called John Doe, which then led me to conclude that John Doe was the name for an unidentified guy. Yes, so I have never come across John Doe this whole time or questioned what it meant because I must have thought it was just somebody.
I decided to find out how John Doe came about and I found it here! In the course of this quest, now I know a whole host of unidentified people, Richard Roe, Jane Doe, John Stiles, Richard Miles, John Citizen and Mary Major. In Chinese, this person would be 陈小明. Hehehe! This whole search does look silly but hey, more knowledge is always good :)
