I saw this picture in the latest National Geographic Magazine in an article on pandas and I was totally bowled over by how cute the cubs look. The picture was not on the Nat Geo website but I managed to find it here instead. I think pandas must be the cutest real bears in the whole world!

Worried
Bobbi bunny was not feeling too happy this morning. She did not run around enthusiastically when she saw me come out of the room as she usually does. In fact, she didn't even want to eat her food and vegies and her ears were cold. That was not a good sign given that bunnies hardly ever refuse food (yesterday she even crashed her foot on the upper platform in a hurry to get to her food, like any other bunny was rushing with her for it...:S ). I was quite worried the whole morning at work and had to go home to check on her at lunchtime to make sure she was ok. She was :) She had eaten her vegies and when I gave her more, she munched them all quite happily. We also shared an apple. Phew! I hope she feels better inside already.

Soccer mania
Just read this funny article in the news about what people can come up with to try and get tickets to watch the World Cup.
This morning we watched the Brazil vs Australia match on TV at 2-4am in the comfort of our bed, covered in quilts right up to my chin. There were 10,000 people out in Federation Square braving the cold (it was 9 degrees, not as bad as the forecasted 6 degrees but still bad anyway) to watch the match on the big screens. Australia lost anyway but they had so many chances to score something.

Together time :)
Play time with Bobbi was so fun just now! :) She was running around on the floor and I just sat down and watched her. She likes to have people watch her while she is out - she gets all excited and will keep dashing around and binkying. Anyway, when she saw me there, she came over, sniffed and prodded at me and then proceeded to snuggle up next to me! SO CUTE! The photo was taken by me and since I couldn't be moving around too much, this is from the top view where you can see her lying right there next to my lap.
Bobbi & me :D (that is my lap in the blue fleece)

Getting all comfy
Just lying around
Bobbi bunny is getting quite comfortable around the house now as evidenced by the fact that she can just plop right down in the middle of the house and stretch out :) Thought bunnies usually lie against a wall or door for security but now she does not need that. It is quite funny to watch!

A cold and foggy morning
Woke up this morning to 4 degrees and a lot of fog. It is still foggy now - it would usually have cleared up by mid-morning. It was quite funny seeing everyone standing at the traffic lights with puffs of smoke emitting from their breath. :D

A beautiful dog
We saw a beautiful huge white dog today just out of a dog wash. I didn't manage to get a pic but I have just found out that it was a Samoyed. OOOHH!! They are really fantastic to look at! And as usual - I wish I had one too! :D See a pic of one similar here.
It's my birthday!
Hit the big 30 milestone today. 30 does seem like a rather large number :S
Went out for brunch with Darlink, Charli and Johnny at the Red Tongue cafe on Brunswick Street. The food was yummy but took ages to arrive. Well, but we weren't in a hurry to go anywhere so that was fine. It's great to be able to just sit around and relax on a Sunday morning.
Here are some greetings that I have received for my birthday.
From Mammo
From Sis
Happy birthday from Tag Friends
As well as the presents...:)
From Darlink
From Godma

The presents from Mammo and sis have not arrived in the post yet...so more presents coming up for me! :)

A pre-birthday lunch
Had lunch today with colleagues to celebrate my birthday (coming up on Sunday!). Well the fact that the manager for our team would organise a lunch for my birthday is quite enough to make me happy :) A year ago, I was feeling quite out of place at work and despite it taking me a long time to fit in somewhat, it does look like I haven't done too badly :D

Officially winter
It is officially winter from today! Not like it hasn't already felt like it for a while actually. Heard on radio that this will be a cold and dry winter...well anyway, I have new boots to tide me through it!
